{"id":163521,"date":"2026-03-14T21:05:10","date_gmt":"2026-03-14T21:05:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/163521\/"},"modified":"2026-03-14T21:05:10","modified_gmt":"2026-03-14T21:05:10","slug":"queens-teacher-accused-of-groping-7-special-needs-high-school-students-nypd-sources","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/163521\/","title":{"rendered":"Queens teacher accused of groping 7 special needs high school students: NYPD sources"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A perverted high school teacher was arrested for allegedly groping\u00a0seven\u00a0special needs students at a Queens high school, according to\u00a0officials.<\/p>\n<p>Vamshi Guduru allegedly touched the girls \u2013 between 15 and 17 \u2013 on their buttocks and breasts at\u00a0John Bowne High School\u00a0in Kew Gardens Hills,\u00a0officials said.<\/p>\n<p>The alleged abuse happened between Monday and Wednesday, according to a criminal complaint against him.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:0.79444444;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"38780007\" width=\"469\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/4-counts-endangering-welfare-child-123502486.jpg\" alt=\"Mugshot of Vamshi Guduru, a 36-year-old male, with a logo for NYPD Crime Stoppers in the top left corner.\" class=\"wp-image-38780007\"  \/>Vamshi Guduru was arrested at 6:30 a.m. Friday for multiple alleged forcible touching incidents, cops said.  dcpi<\/p>\n<p>One of the girls said the 36-year-old teacher \u201ccaressed her right breast without her consent,\u201d according to the complaint.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Two of the other girls said he \u201csqueezed\u201d their buttocks without their consent, the complaint reads. Two others said he touched or squeezed their breasts, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>Another girl said Guduru stood very close to her and put his hand over her hand. The seventh girl said he touched her lower back.<\/p>\n<p>The incidents were reported to police on Thursday and the 36-year-old was arrested by NYPD\u00a0 Warrant Section detectives at his home on Friday\u00a0morning, the sources said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"38780002\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/2024-2025-school-year-student-106814182.jpg\" alt=\"Four yellow school buses parked in a lot in front of a brick school building with a clock tower.\" class=\"wp-image-38780002\"  \/>The victims were all special needs students at a Queens high school, police sources said. Christopher Sadowski<\/p>\n<p>Guduru was charged with four counts of forcible touching, and five counts each of endangering the welfare of a child and sexual abuse, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>He was arraigned in front of Judge\u00a0Sharifa\u00a0Nasser-Cuellar and was freed on supervised release. There is an order of protection against him for the victims.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors asked for bail, according to a Queens DA spokesperson.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Guduru\u2019s defense attorney didn\u2019t immediately return a call seeking comment.
