{"id":163892,"date":"2026-03-15T07:14:13","date_gmt":"2026-03-15T07:14:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/163892\/"},"modified":"2026-03-15T07:14:13","modified_gmt":"2026-03-15T07:14:13","slug":"irish-festival-held-in-clayton-for-second-consecutive-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/163892\/","title":{"rendered":"Irish Festival held in Clayton for second consecutive year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">CLAYTON, New York (WWNY) &#8211; The North Country Goes Green Irish Festival continued Saturday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">It\u2019s the second year that the long-running event is at a new venue: the Cerow Recreation Park Arena in Clayton. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Festivities lasted all day, with folks able to enjoy Irish cuisine, listen to live music, and drink a whole lot of beer if they choose to do so. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Money raised during the event will be used to grant scholarships to local students. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">For some, the move to Clayton made getting to the festival a tad more difficult, that wasn\u2019t the case for one woman we spoke with however, as the move basically brought it to her backyard. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cI just love that it\u2019s in Clayton and it\u2019s the second year here,\u201d said Christine Woodley, a Clayton resident. \u201cIt\u2019s a great way to come out, be with friends, and just do things in the community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The festival runs through the rest of the day Saturday, officially wrapping up at 11:55 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2026 WWNY.
