\u201cUpon arrival, officers were informed a 30-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to his head,\u201d the spokesperson said. \u201cHe was transported by private means to New York Presbyterian Allen Hospital [in Manhattan, across the bridge from Marble Hill] in critical condition. There are no arrests and it\u2019s an ongoing investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Police had cordoned off a section of West 231st Street between Bailey Avenue and Albany Crescent while they carried out their investigation which included examining the windows of the Bronx Public House, located at 170 West 231st Street, opposite where the shell casings were located. The Temple of Enlightenment is located about 100 feet from the crime scene.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n The latest shooting comes just over a month after 16-year-old athlete and student, Christopher Redding<\/a>, was fatally shot at West 238th Street and Broadway, also in Kingsbridge, on Feb. 11, as reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Two other teenagers were also shot during the same incident but survived. Four suspects are sought<\/a> in connection to the incident and Christopher\u2019s mother has called<\/a>\u00a0on the culprits to turn themselves in.
