With Election Day less than two weeks away, some of the big races to watch include the New York City mayoral election and the New Jersey gubernatorial election.<\/p>\n
Here’s what New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut residents need to know about registering and early voting for the general election.<\/p>\n
Early voting for New York and New Jersey began Saturday, Oct. 25.<\/p>\n

In New York City, you must vote at your assigned early voting site. Your early voting site may be different from your Election Day poll site, so make sure to check findmypollsite.vote.nyc<\/a> before you go.<\/p>\n You can find daily polling hours at www.vote.nyc\/elections<\/a>.<\/p>\n The early voting period for the general election is Saturday, October 25 – Sunday, November 2, 2025. Election Day is Tuesday, November 4, 2025.<\/p>\n How to register to vote in New York<\/p>\n First, in New York City, you can register to vote online, in person, or by mail.<\/p>\n Visit the New York City Board of Elections<\/a> for information on how to register or to check if you are registered.<\/p>\n November 4, 2025 General Election Deadlines<\/p>\n Mail Registration In Person Registration There are several ways to vote in New York State<\/a>, including in-person and early voting. A board of elections must receive applications no later than October 25, 2025 to be eligible to vote in the General Election.<\/p>\n
You may register at your local board of elections or any state agency participating in the National Voter Registration Act, on any business day throughout the year but, to be eligible to vote in the General Election, your application must be received no later than October 25, 2025.<\/p>\n
