LINDEN, NJ \u2014 A raccoon killed by a dog in Linden was later found to have tested positive for rabies, said Linden Police.<\/p>\n
On March 3, a raccoon was killed by a dog in the area of Fay Avenue and E. Elizabeth Avenue.<\/p>\n
“This is the second raccoon to test positive this year; another case was reported in January in the area of E. Linden Aveue between S. Park Avenue and Ashton Avenue,” said Linden Police.<\/p>\n
Police shared the information with the public out of an abundance of caution. There have been no confirmed cases of transmission to humans or pets. <\/p>\n
