No charges were immediately filed.<\/p>\n<p>Police were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/2022\/12\/26\/elite-nypd-squad-uses-surveillance-video-to-track-and-catch-criminals-we-take-a-lot-of-pride-in-our-work\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">scouring the area for surveillance footage<\/a> that could help them determine exactly how the shooting unfolded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"An off-duty NYPD detective shot and critically wounded a 30-year-old man in the Bronx, police said Tuesday.
