The NYPD’s Force Investigation Division is investigating after police sources say an off-duty officer is accused of shooting a 30-year-old man in Kingsbridge.<\/p>\n
The man was shot in the head and left fighting for his life just after 9 p.m. Monday on West 231st Street.<\/p>\n
Police say he was taken in a private car to New York Presbyterian-Allen Hospital in critical condition.<\/p>\n
The shooting was captured on surveillance footage and shows the moment a bullet went flying across the street and into The Bronx Public bar and grill.<\/p>\n
The bullet left glass shattered inside the bar and nearly missed people working and drinking.<\/p>\n
\u201cTerrible. Because, you know, the same way that that person can get hurt. Anybody in here can get hurt,\u201d said bar manager Ada.<\/p>\n
Crime scene units were on the block Tuesday gathering evidence.<\/p>\n
