{"id":167046,"date":"2026-03-18T09:40:39","date_gmt":"2026-03-18T09:40:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/167046\/"},"modified":"2026-03-18T09:40:39","modified_gmt":"2026-03-18T09:40:39","slug":"news-12-the-bronx-464","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/167046\/","title":{"rendered":"News 12 | The Bronx"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An off-duty <a href=\"https:\/\/bronx.news12.com\/nypd-force-investigation-division-probes-after-off-duty-officer-accused-of-shooting-man-in-kingsbridge\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NYPD officer<\/a> accused of shooting a man in Kingsbridge over a stolen vehicle is now on modified duty.<\/p>\n<p>\tThe officer was place on modified duty after shooting a 30-year-old man in the head over the stolen vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>\tPolice say the incident happened Monday just before 9:30 p.m. in front of 167 W. 231st St.<\/p>\n<p>\tThe bullets also went flying into the Bronx Public Bar and Kitchen across the street, packed with people watching Monday nights baseball game.
