David Beckham<\/a> reportedly almost ran into his estranged son Brooklyn twice in Los Angeles earlier this week.<\/p>\n

The father and son have not seen each other in months, with Brooklyn recently hitting out at his \u201ccontrolling\u201d parents<\/a> and saying he has no intention of reconciling.<\/p>\n

However, fate almost brought the duo together on Monday when they narrowly avoided seeing each other at the five-star Beverly Hills Hotel amid their ongoing feud<\/a>.<\/p>\n

David, 50, checked into the hotel on Saturday night after his skiing trip in British Colombia with his son Romeo, according to the Daily Mail<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He had an early start on Sunday morning to get to Santa Monica where he was filming an advert for Lays crisps, the sponsor of the upcoming World Cup.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Brooklyn, 27, arrived a few hours later on Monday morning to have breakfast and to sunbathe by the pool after Elton John\u2019s Oscars bash<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The pair were both at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Monday<\/p>\n

The budding cook was reportedly seen by the pool at 3pm – just three hours before David reportedly arrived for dinner at the hotel\u2019s Polo Lounge restaurant at 6pm with David Gardner and another friend.<\/p>\n

David had \u201cno idea\u201d his eldest son was at the hotel on either occasion, sources claimed.<\/p>\n

Brooklyn had reportedly been at the hotel on Friday for breakfast and again on Monday after his godfather Elton\u2019s viewing party at the West Hollywood Park.<\/p>\n

\u201cFar from it being a summit, David was totally in the dark about where Brooklyn was and had no idea that he had just missed him, not just once, but twice,\u201d a friend told the outlet.<\/p>\n

\u201cBrooklyn was with Elton when David arrived to check in on Sunday night, didn’t get there before David left on Monday morning and then had gone before he arrived back.\u201d<\/p>\n

The insider added that it would have been \u201cvery awkward\u201d if they had come face to face and said that the missed encounter \u201cprobably saved a whole of upset\u201d for David.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe would have been devastated to be snubbed by his own son, it would have been truly awful,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n

The Standard has contacted representatives for the pair for comment.<\/p>\n

Brooklyn has reportedly been a regular at the hotel over the past few days, on solo trips and with his wife Nicola Peltz.<\/p>\n

The couple are believed to live just a 10-minute drive away in a \u00a313 million mansion.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Brooklyn finally addressed his family\u2019s feud in a statement on his Instagram Stories after months of speculation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He claimed his parents have been trying to \u201cruin\u201d his marriage to Nicola and that Victoria \u201cinappropriately\u201d danced on him at their 2022 wedding.<\/a><\/p>\n

Brooklyn also criticised David, claiming that despite travelling to the UK for David\u2019s 50th birthday<\/a>, repeated requests to meet beforehand were ignored.<\/p>\n

The influencer said he was eventually offered a meeting on the condition that Nicola was not invited.<\/p>\n

He claimed his parents are all about \u201cBrand Beckham\u201d and controlling the public narrative and said he has no plans to reconcile with them.<\/p>\n
