Officials said they could not provide further details about whose vehicle was involved.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"egmke\">The officer fired his weapon and struck a 30-year-old man in the head, police said. The man was transported by private means to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"ana5e\">NYPD officials did not immediately identify the injured man as the investigation continued on Wednesday.
