Nicola Peltz<\/a> has taken a major swipe against the Beckhams as she claimed her parents consider Brooklyn to be like a son.<\/p>\n

Brooklyn, 27, and Nicola, 31, have been at war with Victoria and the rest of the famous clan since last year and in January the aspiring chef released a statement severing ties with his family entirely and making shock claims<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Now, Nicola has made it clear that Brooklyn is firmly part of the Peltz family in a new interview with ELLE<\/a>\u00a0– and even revealed he has been playing football with her siblings.<\/p>\n

When asked how her parents, billionaire Nelson Peltz, 83, and model Claudia Heffner Peltz, 71, welcomed Brooklyn into their family when they got married, Nicola replied: ‘Like another son.’<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n

She went on to claim that Brooklyn ‘loves playing football with her siblings’ in a swipe at his estranged father David’s career.<\/p>\n

‘He gets along really well with my brothers,’ she said. ‘They play soccer together a lot.’<\/p>\n

Last week, Brooklyn dealt his parents another blow by failing to acknowledge Victoria on Britain’s Mothering Sunday<\/a> – but\u00a0wasted no time in sharing a tribute to his mother-in-law on social media.<\/p>\n

Taking to Instagram<\/a>, Brooklyn shared a photo of himself alongside Claudia Heffner Peltz and his wife Nicola, with the accompanying caption:\u00a0‘Happy birthday to the best mother-in-law. Love u so much and hope u had the most amazing day.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

With Claudia’s birthday falling on March 12 – three days earlier – it seemed a particularly calculated move.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The eldest son of Victoria and David turned 27 earlier this month and blasted the ‘performative posts’ which included loving messages, according to reports.<\/p>\n

An insider told ET that Brooklyn wants to put an end to any attempt from his parents to contact him, including on social media, following their bitter falling out<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Victoria, David, and his brothers Romeo and Cruz all shared heartfelt posts honouring Brooklyn’s birthday, but they were apparently unappreciated.<\/a><\/p>\n

A source told the publication: ‘Brooklyn and Nicola are disheartened they chose to make public Instagram posts for his birthday.<\/p>\n

‘These are the exact type of performative public actions that Brooklyn has been trying to put an end to, to no avail.<\/p>\n

‘Last summer they issued a legal letter to his parents requesting that any correspondence go through lawyers.’<\/p>\n

Brooklyn spent the day with Nicola who shared a video of her husband blowing out his candles on a box of doughnuts.<\/p>\n

The aspiring chef only took to Instagram during the day to thank his wife for her gushing social media post, brushing aside his family’s olive branch.<\/p>\n

He was given another opportunity to reconnect with his estranged family after his parents attempted to build bridges by sharing a series of birthday tributes.<\/p>\n

But while he failed to acknowledge their nostalgic throwback photos, birthday messages and repeated use of his affectionate nickname – Buster – he wasted no time in responding to Nicola.<\/p>\n

The most recent reports suggest Brooklyn is on speaking terms with his grandfather Ted and his wife Hilary, even though he remains estranged from his parents.<\/a> He’s reportedly been in regular contact with them.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Now based in the United States with his wife, Brooklyn recently outlined his desire to distance himself from his family in a six-page Instagram statement filled with lurid allegations.<\/p>\n

Addressing social media followers in January, he claimed his parents had tried to sabotage his marriage and have always prioritised public branding over their family relationships.<\/p>\n

‘For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family,’ he wrote.<\/p>\n

‘The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.’<\/p>\n

He added: ‘Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade.
