The NYPD is asking for the public\u2019s help identifying the person seen in the attached photo who they say is wanted in connection with an assault on a person that occurred in the Mt. Hope section of The Bronx.<\/p>\n

Police said that on Saturday, Feb. 28, at around 5 p.m., a 35-year-old male victim was aboard a southbound Bx41 MTA bus approaching East Tremont Avenue and Webster Avenue. They said an unidentified person got into a verbal dispute with the victim, displayed a sharp object and struck the victim causing injuries to his hands. \u201cThe individual exited the bus and fled the location on foot to parts unknown,\u201d a police spokesperson said. \u201cEMS responded and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.\u201d<\/p>\n

Police said the suspect is described as male, is 5 feet, 5 inches, and is estimated to be between 20 and 30 years of age, and was last seen wearing a black jacket and a dark-gray sweater.<\/p>\n
