An unidentified 62-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS, cops said.

“The smoke was really dark, really heavy coming out the window. When you see that many firetrucks, you know you’ve got a serious fire on your hands. It’s just a terrible tragedy that there had to be a victim,” witness Nyla Redding , 28, told The Post.

Roughly 80 fire and EMS personnel worked to battle the blaze, PIX 11 reported.

The 1-alarm fire was later extinguished over an hour later, authorities added.

“It looked really bad for a minute there — but I didn’t find out until later that someone had died,” said 40-year-old witness Anthony March.

“I feel terrible for her, terrible for her family. One minute you’re enjoying a beautiful Sunday, the next you’re gone. And such a terrible way to go,” he added.

A charred teddy bear was spotted on the roof of an SUV in front of the building where the flames broke out.

The cause of the inferno is under investigation by the FDNY Fire Marshals’ office.

The FDNY did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

A woman was killed after a fire broke out in a Harlem apartment building on Sunday afternoon, according…

[8
70073,7352,25923,12069,9,56,63,65,64
post-171729","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-new-york-city","tag-adam-clayton-powell-jr","tag-apartment-building","tag-fire-marshals","tag-fire-officials","tag-new-york","tag-ny","tag-nyc","tag-nyc-headlines","tag-nyc-news
["GET
