\n\tHeidi Klum<\/a> brightened a gray stretch of Midtown Manhattan on Monday, wearing candy-red Christian Louboutin<\/a> pumps<\/a> with a matching trenchcoat and turning a rainy sidewalk into a tightly controlled color story. The \u201cProject Runway\u201d host<\/a> wore Christian Louboutin<\/a>\u2019s Pigalle Follies 100 pump in glossy red mock-croc embossed finish. The shoe had a long pointed toe, a low-cut vamp, a thin stiletto heel and Louboutin\u2019s signature red sole.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\tThat texture did a lot of the work here because Klum kept everything else in the same saturated lane. She paired the pumps with a vivid red trenchcoat cut below the knee. Black double-breasted buttons and a black-framed belt buckle broke up the color only slightly. Amber aviators, a tartan umbrella and a beaded phone charm rounded out the look, while the matching coat and pumps kept the red story tight.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Pigalle remains one of Christian Louboutin\u2019s defining pump lines. The original Pigalle traces back to 2004, and the house still positions the style as a signature pointed pump built around a low vamp and elongated line, named for the Paris district that inspired it. Klum\u2019s pair pushed that long-running silhouette into a brighter, more graphic place through the red embossed finish rather than crystals, hardware or other surface embellishment.<\/p>\n

\n\tRecent Klum looks have kept the shoes doing the work. Earlier this month, she used Christian Louboutin\u2019s black patent Erozee pumps<\/a> to sharpen a feather-trimmed Christian Siriano dress, switched into ruched olive over-the-knee boots<\/a> for another rainy Manhattan outing, then went metallic in Paris Texas\u2019 mirrored gold Lidia mules at Vanity Fair\u2019s Oscar Party. Monday\u2019s look pulled back to a simpler base: a classic pointed stiletto, pushed forward by color and texture.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe pair also joined a recent run of Louboutin\u2019s pointed Follies silhouette across celebrity appearances. Tiffany Haddish<\/a> wore what appeared to be the Pigalle Follies in burgundy satin at the NFL Honors in February, while Blake Lively<\/a> wore the crystal-dotted Follies Strassita in New York in December. Klum kept the same elongated, low-cut line and changed the finish, using glossy red mock-croc embossing in place of satin or strass.
