The victim, 20, was standing on the northbound D train platform at Ninth Avenue and 39th Street in Borough Park around 10:50 a.m. March 17, when the maniac started following her, cops said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The mugger allegedly grabbed her arms, shook her violently, then threw her to the ground, according to authorities and sources.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The brute then took the victim\u2019s cell phone and fled, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It was unclear Tuesday whether the victim \u2013 who was treated on the scene for minor injuries \u2013 was wearing distinctive religious garb at the time of the attack.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The NYPD\u2019s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the incident, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion, last seen wearing a black and white jacket, dark-colored pants and black shoes, cops said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
