SHEEPSHEAD BAY, Brooklyn (PIX11) \u2014 A teen is accused of fatally shooting a 16-year-old boy in a Brookyn NYCHA complex on Monday, police said.<\/p>\n
The suspect, also a 16-year-old boy, was arrested and charged Tuesday with manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, and criminal possession of a weapon, according to the NYPD.<\/p>\n
Get ongoing crime and safety coverage on our homepage <\/a><\/p>\n Kamardre Coleman, 16, was shot in the chest <\/a>inside the Sheepshead Houses at 2597 Ave. X at around 5 p.m., police said.<\/p>\n Coleman was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved.<\/p>\n It was unclear what led up to the shooting.<\/p>\n There have been more than 1,100 crimes reported in NYCHA complexes citywide as of March 22, according to NYPD data.
