NORTH ANDOVER, MA \u2013 The Manhattan Jaspers Baseball team (10-12, 4-6 MAAC) put together a commanding victory over the Warriors of Merrimack College (10-12, 5-5 MAAC) by a score of 10-3 at the Greater Lawrence Tech Baseball Field on Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Jaspers got some much-needed reinforcements with the return of Andreaus Lewis<\/a> from a three-game absence by doubling down the left field line to drive home Guriyandel Salva<\/a> in the top of the first inning.
\n\tTwo batters later, Hunter Sute<\/a> chopped into a fielder’s choice with the bases loaded and allowed Vincent Samuel<\/a> to cross the plate.
\n\tAfter Trevor Hansen<\/a> doubled to lead off the second inning, Salva followed suit with a double of his own down the right field line to drive home Hansen and make the Jasper lead as high as three.
\n\tIn the fourth inning, the Jaspers took advantage of the Warriors’ miscues in the field to eventually load the bases.
\n\tOnce Samuel worked a walk to load the bases, Lewis brought home Ryan Lordier<\/a> for the team’s fourth run.
\n\tThe next batter was Justin Best<\/a>, who broke the game open with a three-run home run and brought home Samuel and Salva.
\n\tThe Warriors responded with two runs before the Green and White added another two runs, highlighted by a Hunter Sute<\/a> base knock to right center, and drove home Best.
\n\tThe final run scored came from Colin Basehore’s<\/a> fielder’s choice to bring home Best for Manhattan’s tenth run.

\n\tCatcher Hunter Sute<\/a> paced the Green and White with a 3-for-5 afternoon and posted two RBI’s off a double.
\n\tInfielder Guriyandel Salva<\/a> posted a 2-for-2 day, crossed the plate twice, logged one RBI, and worked a walk. Salva added a double, was caught stealing, and was hit by a pitch during the outing.
\n\tOutfielder Justin Best<\/a> continued his hot play with another 2-for-3 performance, crossed the plate three times, and added a home run, three RBI’s, a walk, and a strikeout.
\n\tOutfielder Colin Basehore<\/a> recorded a 2-for-5 day, with one RBI.
\n\tCatcher Andreaus Lewis<\/a> returned from injury and registered a 1-for-4 day with a double, sacrifice fly, two RBIs, and a strikeout.
\n\tStarting pitcher Connor Throneberry<\/a> posted his second victory of the campaign with 6.2 innings of work, surrendering three earned runs, two walks, and fanning five in 109 total pitches tossed to Warrior batters.
