\n\tThe Jaspers started their quest for their first victory over Columbia since 2018, rather quickly, with a first-inning bases-clearing triple from Hunter Sute<\/a>.
\n\tThen, Sute, on third, scored off a passed ball with Trevor Hansen<\/a> at the plate.
\n\tManhattan wasn’t done in the top of the second with Jeremy Sosa<\/a> scoring from third off a Colin Basehore<\/a> ground out to put the Jaspers ahead 5-0.
\n\tIn the top of the third inning with the bases occupied on second and third, Hayden Jung-Goldberg<\/a> bunted back to the pitcher for the successful safety squeeze to put the team’s sixth run on the board.
\n\tThe Lions were able to post their second run before the Green and White again responded with five runs in the fourth, highlighted by Josiah Brown’s<\/a> two-run blast to right field, along with Justin Best<\/a> and Hunter Sute’s<\/a> back-to-back doubles.
\n\tIn the top of the sixth inning with the bases loaded once more, Guriyandel Salva<\/a> brought home two more runs before bringing a third across the plate due to an error by the opposing second baseman.
\n\tThe bats didn’t stop for the Jaspers, with Salva launching his first home run of the season to center field for the team’s 15th run.
\n\tFinally, Manhattan didn’t stop in the top of the ninth, with another two runs added courtesy of Hunter Sute’s<\/a> base knock through the right side to drive home Vincent Samuel<\/a>.
\n\tWith the bases loaded one final time, Jung-Goldberg sent an infield single to second to bring home Dylan Mayer<\/a> for the team’s 17th and final run.

\n\tCatcher Hunter Sute<\/a> posted a 5-for-6 afternoon with five RBI’s, and crossed the plate four times that featured a trio of doubles, and a triple on the day.
\n\tOutfielder Hayden Jung-Goldberg<\/a> went 2-for-4 with two RBI’s, one run, a sacrifice hit, and was hit by a pitch in the contest this afternoon.
\n\tInfielder Josiah Brown<\/a> went two-for-three with two runs scored, three walks, and two RBI’s.
\n\tOutfielder Justin Best<\/a> continued his hot hitting with two hits in four at bats, crossed the plate twice, two RBI, one walk, and one double.
\n\tOutfielder Jeremy Sosa<\/a> logged a 2-for-4 clip from the dish, with three runs scored, one walk, one double, and the team’s lone stolen base on the day.
\n\tInfielder Guriyandel Salva<\/a> went 2-for-6, with two runs, three RBI’s, one walk, and a home run.
\n\tPitcher Andrew Brown<\/a> posted three strikeouts in 2.1 innings of work. Brown surrendered one run, unearned, worked a walk, and faced nine batters in 40 total pitches.
