Guinness World Records<\/p>\n<p>To accomplish the impressive feat, he researched all the 72 Big Apple restaurants in the renowned guide to plan the best route.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor example, three-starred Eleven Madison Park only offers a tasting menu that takes hours \u2013 but if you look closely, their small bar offers a few small bites,\u201d added Fyksen, who works at Peter Luger Steak House at Caesars Palace.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe bar doesn\u2019t take reservations, though, so I\u2019d have to chance a walk-in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Since many Michelin-starred restaurants only offer prix-fixe menus, he contacted them ahead of time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI emailed several restaurants that don\u2019t offer \u00e0 la carte and asked for exceptions,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cA few said yes, some even agreed to open early to fit me in, but most stuck to their routines.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:0.7265625;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"38924634\" width=\"429\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/starting-feel-full-wasn-t-124601845.jpg\" alt=\"Joshua Fyksen at a Michelin-starred restaurant, holding a napkin with a dish of food on the table.\" class=\"wp-image-38924634\"  \/>The Las Vegas sommelier broke his own record of 22 he set in 2023. Guinness World Records<\/p>\n<p>The gourmand managed to break the record of 25 set in Hong Kong in 2024 by Sujoy Kumar Mitra and Rajnish Kumar Tripathi of India.<\/p>\n<p>Fyksen also broke his own record of 22, which he set in NYC in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI asked friends and family if I should go for it again, and I think my father put it best: \u2018But I wasn\u2019t done bragging!&#8217;\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Since his 2023 attempt, he was looking forward to chowing down in the newer starred restaurants like Shmon\u00e9, an Israeli restaurant with one star in Greenwich Village; The Four Horsemen, a Brooklyn small plate spot with one star; and Torrisi, an one star Italian restaurant in SoHo. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"He almost bit off more than he could chew.
