Readers will have plenty of volumes to choose from at the 34 local shops participating in this year\u2019s Brooklyn Bookstore Crawl.<\/p>\n

The weeklong crawl runs from April 18 to 25 this year and participating bookstores are spread across the borough<\/a>, from Here\u2019s a Book in Midwood to Leaves in Greenpoint.<\/p>\n

Eager readers can nab a passport at any of the participating shops during the week. The shops are arranged by zone and an online map<\/a> shows each shop highlighted by zone. Those who manage to get a stamp from every bookstore in a zone will get a 25 percent off coupon to use at any of those shops. Truly dedicated crawlers who manage to visit all 34 stores will be eligible for a grand prize.<\/p>\n

The celebration will culminate in an afterparty<\/a> on Independent Bookstore Day, April 29, at The Center for Fiction in Fort Greene. A passport acts as a ticket to the event and there will be a raffle and other prizes for booklovers to enjoy.
