Calling all MLB fans and food lovers \u2013 the Radio Restaurant, located inside Radio Hotel, Washington Heights\u2019 first boutique hotel, is the perfect place to grab food before or after the game. The Radio Hotel sits just 20 minutes from Yankee Stadium.<\/p>\n

Radio Restaurant features family-style meals, craft cocktails, and even a boozy brunch experience \u2013 it\u2019s their take on new American cuisines with a Latin twist!<\/p>\n

I sit down for dinner in an intimate, dimly lit setting. As I walk into the dining room, I am greeted by friendly staff, and to my left, the DJ booth stands ready to start up my day or energize my night.<\/p>\n

While sipping on my prosecco, I taste an array of dishes, and let\u2019s just say I am more than satisfied!\n<\/p>\n

We start with the greens: guacamole and chips and the little gem Caesar, and for a salad, it sure is a gem. Hedges of romaine, juicy grilled chicken, avocado, and Caesar dressing. This Caesar salad is definitely one of the favorites I have had from a restaurant.<\/p>\n

We move on to the shareable dishes: Latin classics like empanadas and chicharron de pollo, and a Radio Restaurant original\u2014radio wings, served in smoky guava BBQ sauce (which actually turns out to be my least favorite of the three).<\/p>\n

The main dishes I try are the mojo \u201cmedia pollo\u201d (half chicken, mashed potatoes, broccolini), churrasco steak frites (marinated steak and chimichurri fries), vodka rigatoni, and radio fried rice or \u201cchofan.\u201d My favorite has to be the churrasco steak frites; you can\u2019t go wrong with steak and fries, and the housemade chimichurri definitely elevates the tasting experience.<\/p>\n

We close out our tasting experience with two desserts: a mango-passion fruit tart and a warm chocolate brownie served with dulce de leche ice cream. A must-try for our \u201csomething sweet\u201d foodies, but an easy skip for those who don\u2019t have a sweet tooth.<\/p>\n

If you have the chance to visit the Radio Restaurant, I say start with the Caesar salad, split the chicharron de pollo and the empanadas, and try their churrasco steak frites. You also have to check out their bathroom\u2014outside, there\u2019s a Washington Heights mural that\u2019s photo-op ready, and inside, a bathroom that\u2019s selfie-ready. The colors are wild in there.<\/p>\n

To elevate your MLB experience, if you are thinking of staying at the Radio Hotel, they offer a \u201ctake me out to the ballgame\u201d package, which includes a branded clear fanny pack, game day popcorn, and a bucket of beers at check-in for a true home run stay!<\/p>\n
