{"id":17998,"date":"2025-10-27T07:53:14","date_gmt":"2025-10-27T07:53:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/17998\/"},"modified":"2025-10-27T07:53:14","modified_gmt":"2025-10-27T07:53:14","slug":"dalton-lee-janiczek-mows-down-cops-with-mercedes-g-wagen-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/17998\/","title":{"rendered":"Dalton Lee Janiczek mows down cops with Mercedes G-Wagen: police"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A privileged Pennsylvania punk rammed his Mercedes G-Wagen into police \u2014 including an officer he struck three times even when the cop was already on the ground, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>Dalton Lee Janiczek, the 21-year-old son of a prominent Pennsylvania lawyer, is now facing attempted-murder charges over last week\u2019s violence, according to the Montgomery County <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montgomerycountypa.gov\/ArchiveCenter\/ViewFile\/Item\/6287\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">District Attorney\u2019s Office<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Janiczek is accused of first fleeing officers in Whitpain Township just outside of Philadelphia around noon Friday when they tried to pull him over for a routine traffic infraction.<\/p>\n<p>Dalton Lee Janiczek, 21, is facing attempted-murder charges after a wild chase that sent two cops to the hospital. Montgomery County DA<\/p>\n<p>Janiczek steered his high-end SUV over the center median on Skippack Pike and was able to elude cops \u2014 for a while, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect was then spotted in his vehicle at a Doubletree Guest Suites Hotel in Plymouth Township 40 minutes later, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>As cops in a patrol car descended on him, Janiczek threw his luxury ride into reverse, \u201cstruck the patrol vehicle several times\u201d and then aimed the massive SUV at one of the officers, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJaniczek accelerated directly at the officer, attempting to hit him, and the officer discharged his firearm,\u201d the DA\u2019s office said in a statement. \u201cAgain, Janiczek accelerated the vehicle, this time striking the officer, causing him to fall.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs the officer attempted to administer a tourniquet to a leg wound, the Mercedes circled back around the lot and struck the officer three more times as he laid on the ground,\u201d the office said.<\/p>\n<p>The violence only ended when Janiczek slammed his SUV head-on into a police car and was finally taken into custody, prosecutors said. Two officers were injured in the mayhem.<\/p>\n<p>Janiczek, 21, fled a traffic stop, then mowed down two cops when they found him Friday, authorities said. FOX<\/p>\n<p>Janiczek \u2014 who graduated from La Salle College High School, attended Loyola Marymount University and was a member of the school\u2019s men\u2019s rowing team as a freshman, records show \u2014 was arraigned Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>He was charged with attempted murder of a law enforcement officer, aggravated assault, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and other raps and is being held without bail pending a return court appearance Nov. 4.<\/p>\n<p>The injured officers were taken to a local hospital, where one underwent surgery. Both were listed in stable condition and are expected to survive, Fox affiliate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox29.com\/news\/lower-gwynedd-man-charged-attempted-murder-police-officer-plymouth-township\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">WTXF-TV reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect is the son of a prominent lawyer and a student a Loyola Marymount University, records show.
