Shots were fired outside a high school in Crotona Park, police say.<\/p>\n
Officers responded to Fannie Lou Hamer Freedom High School at 1021 Jennings St. just before 3 p.m. Monday, around the time of the school’s dismissal.<\/p>\n
The Department of Education tells News 12 that students were placed in a brief shelter-in-place following the gunfire.<\/p>\n
News 12 crews observed officers searching for shell casings at the scene.<\/p>\n
Authorities say no one was hurt and there was no property damage from the bullets.<\/p>\n
