An armed suspect in East New York was apprehended with the help of drone technology, according to the NYPD.<\/p>\n

Officials say the drone was deployed after police received a report about a dispute involving a firearm along Vandalia Avenue on March 18.<\/p>\n

The drone pilot relayed information to patrol officers, who were able to recover the gun dropped by the suspect in a nearby yard.<\/p>\n

Police went on to capture 19-year-old Aiden Mckenzie. He now faces charges including criminal possession of a weapon, menacing and harassment.<\/p>\n
