WASHINGTON \u2014 President Trump told The Post that he spoke with golfer Tiger Woods<\/a> following his latest DUI arrest in Florida<\/a> \u2014 saying the legendary athlete \u201clives a life of pain\u201d due to existing physical injuries, but is \u201cdoing great.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI have\u201d talked with Woods, Trump said in a Tuesday phone interview. \u201cI think he\u2019s doing great, he\u2019s doing good.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 50-year-old golfer \u2014 who is dating Vanessa Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr. \u2013 allegedly had\u00a0two hydrocodone pills<\/a>\u00a0in his pocket when he flipped his luxury Land Rover in Jupiter Island<\/a>, Florida, last Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe tested negative for alcohol, as you know, and he is under a tremendous physical pressure from his various ailments, you know, the back and the leg,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe lives a life of pain. He has a lot of pain. He\u2019s an amazing guy. He\u2019s an amazing athlete. He does have pain.\u201d<\/p>\n

The president added: \u201cHe doesn\u2019t have an alcohol problem, but he does have pain.\u201d<\/p>\n

Investigators had already revealed the embattled golf great was likely under the influence of \u201csome type of medication or drug\u201d when he clipped a truck and then overturned his SUV just minutes from his home.<\/p>\n

Woods\u2019 eyes were \u201cbloodshot and glassy,\u201d and his pupils were \u201cextremely dilated\u201d in the immediate aftermath of the crash, according to an arrest report obtained by The Post.<\/p>\n

The golfing phenomenon, who agreed to undergo a slew of field sobriety tests at the scene, confirmed to officers that he took prescription medication and noted his prior medical history included \u201cseven back surgeries and over 20 operations on his leg.\u201d<\/p>\n

A breath test ultimately came back with no signs of alcohol, but Woods refused to undergo a urinalysis test at the scene, the report stated.<\/p>\n

Woods, for his part, told cops he lost control after looking at his phone and changing the radio station.<\/p>\n

He claimed he didn\u2019t see the vehicle in front of him slowing down before he clipped it.<\/p>\n
