\tWoods said she’s filed multiple 311 complaints but claims the super at 2115 Mohegan Ave. is unresponsive.<\/p>\n
\tHer recent complaint ticket was filed on March 20 before it was closed.<\/p>\n
\t“Nobody’s doing anything,” she said.<\/p>\n
\tAccording to The NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development, the West Farms building has 238 violations.<\/p>\n
\tMore than 100 violations fall under a “Class B” certification, which can include mold, rodents, and broken plaster.<\/p>\n
\tThe issues are considered a threat to a tenant’s health and safety and are required to be fixed in 30 days.<\/p>\n
\tWoods lives with her brother, Shawn Williams. He said the leaks have been an ongoing issue for more than three years.<\/p>\n
\t“It starts out with little brown stains\u2026and then it’s just raining after that. Pieces of rock and sheetrock are falling down,” he said.<\/p>\n
\tThe damages in the apartment extend to the kitchen that sometimes runs dirty water, unfixed holes inside a bedroom, and doors being held up with tape.<\/p>\n
\tA neighbor, who asked News 12 to remain anonymous, showed several text messages he sent to the super that have gone unanswered since last year.<\/p>\n
\tNews 12 spoke with the super named Tony on the phone. He said the issue in Woods apartment is a result of a boiler leaking into the pipes.
\n\tHe said a contractor has been called to fix it, but he could not provide an exact timeline for repairs.<\/p>\n
