Almost three years ago, New York City joined governments across the country in banning\u00a0TikTok\u00a0from its phones over security concerns about the Chinese social media site.<\/p>\n

Yesterday,\u00a0Mayor Zohran Mamdani, a bona fide social media star, took to the app to announce a reversal: \u201cTikTok, we’re back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg showed reporters yesterday how a $250 printer and a few dollars worth of parts can transform an AR-15 rifle into a DIY machine gun.<\/p>\n

Describing an evolving public safety threat, Bragg explained, \u201cWe\u2019ve moved from the iron pipeline to really the kitchen table pipeline.\u201d<\/p>\n

New York Republican gubernatorial nominee Bruce Blakeman was denied millions of dollars of public campaign matching funds following a decision by the state panel that oversees the program.<\/p>\n

The state Public Campaign Finance Board yesterday voted 4-3 on a resolution that disqualifies Blakeman from the program over a technicality \u2014 that Madison County Sheriff Todd Hood, Blakeman\u2019s running mate, did not submit his own paperwork applying for matching funds, a new requirement added just a few months ago.<\/p>\n
