Kennedy Airport<\/a> \u2014 roughly 10 miles away.<\/p>\n<p>The shocking mishap was revealed in air traffic control audio <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/video\/delta-pilots-contact-wrong-tower-while-landing-at-laguardia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">obtained by CBS News<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The audio also captured another pilot, who was the one requesting clearance to land, in absolute disbelief.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s crazy,\u201d the unidentified pilot uttered after the stunning exchange. <\/p>\n<p>A Delta Airlines jet operated by Republic Airways mistakenly contacted the wrong control tower when landing at LaGuardia Airports. Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Air traffic controllers at JFK Airport were left baffled when flight 5752 contacted them requesting clearance to land.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s who?\u2026I\u2019m sorry, where are you?\u201d the air traffic controller was heard in the audio saying.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c2-mile final, Brickyard 5752,\u201d the pilot confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c2-mile final where?\u201d the JFK tower controller asked.<\/p>\n<p>The pilots were stunned when learning that they had been calling traffic control operators at the John F. Kennedy International Airport. Bloomberg via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRunway 4,\u201d said the pilot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt LaGuardia?\u201d the controller asked, to which the pilot confirmed, \u201cYes, ma\u2019am.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is Kennedy Tower, please go to LaGuardia Tower,\u201d the controller quickly responded.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOh my goodness. Alright,\u201d the pilot said.<\/p>\n<p>The plane was quickly directed to LaGuardia, where it landed without further incident. Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The flight was then contacted by the proper team in LaGuardia, with the pilot confirming that they had the correct lines this time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah, 5752, we\u2019re going around,\u201d the pilot said. <\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for Republic Airways told The Post that the flight initiated a go-around after the slip-up and landed at LaGuardia Airport without incident. <\/p>\n<p>Delta Airlines confirmed its flight crew was not aboard the aircraft.
