EAST WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn (WABC) — A 7-month-old child was shot and killed while with her mother in Brooklyn on Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n

It happened at Humboldt and Moore streets around 1 p.m.<\/p>\n

Officials say the child was being pushed in a stroller by her mother when the shots were fired nearby.<\/p>\n

Crystal Cranmore has more on the shooting.<\/p>\n

As people ran for cover, the mother fled to a bodega and saw the child was injured.<\/p>\n

The child was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n

Police are looking for two males who fled north on a black moped on Humboldt Street. One was wearing a white hoodie and another was holding what appears to be a gun and was wearing a black hoodie.<\/p>\n

Eyewitness News has obtained a photo from police of two individuals that police are actively searching for.<\/p>\n

Authorities say they tracked a scooter to 50 Warsoff Place where they set up another crime scene.<\/p>\n

Mayor Zohran Mamdani has called the shooting a tragedy and is expected to provide an update with the NYPD.<\/p>\n

Few other details were released.<\/p>\n
