\u00a0Join the Museum of the City of New York and our neighbors up and down Museum Mile for the 48th Annual Museum Mile Festival.<\/p>\n
We will be open and FREE from 6\u20139 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9th for visitors off all ages to explore our exhibitions and New York City’s art, history, pop culture, and civic life. Don’t miss the chance to see our latest exhibitions The Occupied City<\/a> (Opens June 6) and Another Wonderland<\/a> (Opens May 1).\u00a0<\/p>\n The doors to each museum will be open to the public for free throughout the event. Please check each museum\u2019s website to learn more about their programming. Learn more about the History of Museum Mile<\/p>\n Established in 1978 to increase public awareness of its member institutions and promote public support of the arts, the Museum Mile Festival serves as a model for similar events across the globe. The eight institutions participating in this highly successful collaboration are The Metropolitan Museum of Art<\/a>; Neue Galerie New York<\/a>; Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum<\/a>; Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum<\/a>; The Jewish Museum<\/a>; Museum of the City of New York; El Museo del Barrio<\/a>; and The Africa Center<\/a>.
