One man was hospitalized after he was hit by a car in the Norwood section of The Bronx on Wednesday afternoon, April 1, according to emergency services.<\/p>\n

An EMS spokesperson said emergency services received a call at 12.53 p.m. on Wednesday for a report of a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle at\u00a0Bainbridge Avenue and Van Cortlandt Avenue East.<\/p>\n

They said EMS\u00a0EMS transported one civilian to an area hospital. The condition and description of the patient were unknown. When Norwood News visited the scene, a local street vendor said he saw that a man who he estimated to be in his forties had been hit by a car and that an ambulance had arrived to help.<\/p>\n
