The Bayside Historical Society\u2019s staff and volunteers are offering guided tours of The Castle and its exhibitions on the second Sunday of each month from 1pm-3pm. Each tour lasts approximately 45 minutes; two tours are offered, with the first beginning at 1:00 PM and the second at 2:00 PM. Admission is free, but reservations are required. The Bayside Historical Society welcomes back author, historian, and Long Island native Bill Bleyer for a presentation on his insightful book, \u201cLong Island and the Civil War,\u201d which explores how the American Civil War reshaped Long Island in surprising and profound ways. The program will conclude with a Q&A and book signing.<\/p>\n

Persian Traditional and Folk Music<\/p>\n

Join BHS at The Castle for an afternoon of Persian music and traditional Iranian instruments. This special event features Katayoun on vocals, Hedayat Shafeei on the tar, and Hamidreza Maleki on the santour and oud, offering audiences an authentic glimpse into the sound and spirit of Persian music. This is a wonderful opportunity to discover a rich musical tradition in a friendly, local setting.<\/p>\n
