SAN JOSE, Calif. (April 2, 2026) \u2013\u00a0Canada Soccer announced today that Bay FC defenders Sydney Collins<\/a> and Brooklyn Courtnall<\/a> have been selected to its Women\u2019s National Team roster for the upcoming April international window.\u00a0Collins, Courtnall and Canada\u00a0will\u00a0participate\u00a0in the FIFA Series\u00a02026TM\u00a0in\u00a0Cuiab\u00e1,\u00a0Brazil for three\u00a0matches, taking on\u00a0Zambia April 11, Korea\u00a0Republic\u00a0April 14,\u00a0and Brazil April 18.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Each player\u2019s\u00a0selection\u00a0marks their\u00a0second international call-ups<\/a> of 2026.The backline duo\u00a0helped\u00a0Les Rouges\u00a0to silver at the 2026 SheBelieves Cup in March, taking four points in three matches against\u00a0Argentina,\u00a0Colombia\u00a0and the United States.\u00a0The tournament provided a milestone for\u00a0both players, with Collins scoring her first career international goal,\u00a0and Courtnall making her senior international debut\u00a0in a 4-1 victory over\u00a0Colombia\u00a0March\u00a01.\u00a0Each have appeared in every match\u00a0for\u00a0Bay FC to open the 2026 NWSL season<\/a>, with Collins donning the captain\u2019s armband for Head Coach Emma Coates\u2019 side.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Canada will take on three strong squads\u00a0during its\u00a0trip to Brazil,\u00a0opening\u00a0its series of matches against Zambia April 11. The squad will take on Korea Republic, currently 19th in the FIFA World Rankings\u00a0April 14, before closing out\u00a0play\u00a0against\u00a0Brazil,\u00a08th\u00a0in the FIFA World Rankings\u00a0April 18.\u00a0The FIFA Series brings together national teams from across the six confederations, with the 2026 edition featuring 50 nations across 13 groups and contested in 12 countries.\u00a0<\/p>\n
