According to the report, travel from Canada fell by more than 21 percent \u2014 a decrease of more than three-and-a-half million Canadian visitors.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cbs6albany.com\/news\/local\/start-of-summer-in-lake-george-sees-fewer-canadian-visitors\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PREVIOUS: Start of Summer in Lake George Sees Fewer Canadian Visitors<\/a><\/p>\n<p>State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli also says tariffs contributed to an export decline from New York of nearly four billion dollars.<\/p>\n<p>While President Trump\u2019s so-called \u201cLiberation Day\u201d tariffs on foreign nations were overturned by the Supreme Court in recent months, the president has since used a different trade law to impose new blanket tariffs.<\/p>\n<p>State officials say the tariffs have hurt the economy.
