COURTHOUSE,
\n April 2 \u2013 A man charged with
\n having a machine gun and being
\n a felon in possession was
\n brought from the Essex County
\n Correctional Facility to pled
\n guilty before U.S. District
\n Court for the Southern
\n District of New York Judge Jed
\n S. Rakoff. Inner City Press
\n tweeted it – including the
\n plea deal the US Attorney’s
\n Office signed with with
\n defendant, for 37 to 46
\n months, with the felon in
\n possession charge dropped. <\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0
\n Afterward, “On or about
\n November 14, 2025, at around
\n 4:00 p.m., MALDONADO, who has
\n been previously convicted of
\n multiple felony offenses,
\n discharged a machine gun in
\n the vicinity of East 170th
\n Street and Third Avenue in the
\n Bronx, including two shots
\n that struck a nearby
\n vehicle.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0
\n Detectives of the New York
\n City Police Department
\n (\u201cNYPD\u201d), who were in the
\n vicinity of the gunshots,
\n spotted and promptly
\n apprehended MALDONADO, who was
\n in possession of an
\n un-serialized Polymer 80,
\n model PF940C, 9x19mm caliber
\n firearm, a ghost gun.
\n MALDONADO, 53, of New York,
\n New York, pled guilty to one
\n count of possession of a
\n machine gun, which carries a
\n maximum sentence of 10 years
\n in prison.”\u00a0 <\/p>\n

\u00a0Sentencing
\n is set for July 14 – Bastille
\n Day.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n
