Covington, N.Y. (WHAM) \u2014 On Wyoming Road, just outside the village of Wyoming, in Wyoming County, Shannon Morgan and her husband have a little family farm that could probably double as a petting zoo.<\/p>\n
“I’ve got about probably 35 goats, three donkeys, two very big pigs and several birds, between geese, ducks and chickens,” said Morgan. <\/p>\n

Everything was across the yard.\u201d<\/p>\n “This creek has run high, but never flash flooded like this ever in our life,” Morgan added.<\/p>\n As for help from neighbors?<\/p>\n “They enjoyed the show,” said Morgan, laughing. She said they did alert her once the flooding started, and she thought they were joking.<\/p>\n “And then all of a sudden, that’s when I was like, ‘Uhhhhhh,'” Morgan said.<\/p>\n When the water walloped their yard, most of the animals were secure at the time. The pigs, now done with their dip, were back behind barricades Wednesday. The other fencing is knocked down and the goats and donkeys need to remain put for now.<\/p>\n Morgan said she is expecting days of work to get everything back to normal. She and her husband had yet to sleep. If the forecast is accurate, they might be staying up.<\/p>\n “My concern is we’re supposed to get more rain,” Morgan said. “So if it gets higher, what to do?”<\/p>\n
