With Good Friday and Easter Sunday happening this weekend, many are wondering what will and won\u2019t be open during the holidays.<\/p>\n
April 3 is Good Friday, followed by Easter Sunday on April 5.<\/p>\n
For those celebrating, the weekend will be full of going to church<\/a>, family dinners and Easter baskets with chocolate<\/a>. <\/p>\n But even with everything going on, sometimes people need to stop by a store at the last minute.<\/p>\n Or maybe plans have changed and they need to get food elsewhere.<\/p>\n Whatever the case, here\u2019s a guide to what\u2019s open and closed this Good Friday and Easter Sunday.<\/p>\n Good Friday<\/p>\n Because Good Friday is not a bank holiday, most government agencies will remain open.<\/p>\n Bank branches will remain open, as will courts and government offices and the Department of Motor Vehicles. The U.S. Postal Service will be open, and there will be mail delivery.<\/p>\n Garbage, recycling and organics collections will operate on a normal schedule, and so will MTA buses and trains. <\/p>\n ALDI will be closed on Easter Sunday. Be sure to check your local stores before visiting to double check if there are modified hours.<\/p>\n Easter Sunday<\/p>\n Unlike Good Friday, many retailers, drug stores and grocery stores will be closed on Easter Sunday.<\/p>\n Walmart will remain open on Easter Sunday.<\/p>\n CVS will be open, though hours will vary by location.<\/p>\n Walgreens stores are open for Easter, and most pharmacies are, too, though it may vary by location.<\/p>\n 7-Eleven will be open.<\/p>\n Target is closed on Easter Sunday.<\/p>\n Costco will be closed.<\/p>\n Most BJ\u2019s Wholesale Club locations will be open, though it may vary by location.<\/p>\n Sam\u2019s Club locations will be closed on Easter Sunday.<\/p>\n ALDI stores are closed on Easter Sunday.<\/p>\n Whole Foods will be open.<\/p>\n Wegmans stores will be open, though their pharmacies will be closed and some departments might have reduced hours.<\/p>\n Costco will be closed for Easter.
