\u201cThe thing I hated about living in the city all the time was, I would wake up to so much noise, whether it would be garbage being picked up or people fighting or your neighbors or whatever\u2019s going on on the street,\u201d Davidson, 32, added. \u201cIn North Salem, I would wake up naturally, and I wouldn\u2019t feel a thing; it was the most special feeling.\u201d<\/p>\n

The property\u2019s seclusion was a major draw, with the house set far back from the road and neighbors barely within sight. Locally, Davidson blended in easily, frequenting nearby spots and joining a recreational basketball league. \u201cWhat\u2019s cool about North Salem and the whole Westchester area is everyone pretty much keeps to themselves, and I really don\u2019t get bothered up there,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The home also holds personal milestones. It was there that his partner shared news that they were expecting their daughter, a moment that now anchors his decision to leave. <\/p>\n
Even so, Davidson acknowledged the emotional weight of the sale with a joke tied to one of his most recognizable characters \u2014\u00a0Chad, the \u201cSNL\u201d character he\u2019s most known for.<\/p>\n
\u201cI told Chad we were going to sell it,\u201d he quipped. \u201cHe\u2019s very upset. You could see it in his eyes. He\u2019s not a man of a lot of words, but in his eyes, you could tell he was sad to go.\u201d<\/p>\n
