This Bay Ridge apartment has a roomy layout that includes three bedrooms and seven closets. The postwar building at 6665 Colonial Road doesn\u2019t have a lot of architectural flourishes, but there is the opportunity for a new owner to put their own design stamp on the co-op unit.<\/p>\n

Plans for the building, known as Colonial Park, were announced in 1953<\/a> with a blurb in the Brooklyn Eagle noting the development would include a 33-car garage. Designed by Rothstein and Son, the six-story, 49-unit brick building wraps around the corner of 67th Street and has a streamlined brick facade. An early brochure<\/a> lists promised perks for units, including foyers, \u201cwork saving\u201d kitchens, lots of closet space, and cross ventilation.<\/p>\n

This fourth-floor apartment still has its original layout, with a sizable foyer opening into the living room, a dining nook off the kitchen, three bedrooms, and one full bath. The listing puts it at 1,150 square feet. There are wood floors visible in many of the rooms; the three bedrooms have wall-to-wall carpeting.<\/p>\n

The building sits across from Owl\u2019s Head Park. The living room offers treetop views, as do a few other rooms.<\/p>\n

The windowed kitchen includes a dishwasher and white cabinets and tiled backsplash. Yellow walls and a blue laminate countertop add color. A few design updates could modernize the space.<\/p>\n

All bedrooms have two exposures and closets, with the largest bedroom holding two closets. One of the rooms would make a spacious office if a third bedroom isn\u2019t needed.<\/p>\n

The only bathroom in the unit has a walk-in shower and neutral wall and floor tiles.<\/p>\n

Amenities in the building include laundry, a live-in super, and storage units. There is parking that currently has a wait list. Maintenance for this apartment is $1,364 a month.<\/p>\n
