The alleged getaway driver sought in the fatal shooting of a 7-month-old girl<\/a> killed during a botched gang hit in Brooklyn was captured in Pennsylvania on Friday, according to law enforcement sources.<\/p>\n

Matthew Rodriguez, 18, operated the scooter that carried alleged gunman Amuri Greene, who was targeting a rival over some gang-related beef when he inadvertently struck little Kaori Patterson-Moore in the head on Wednesday, sources said.<\/p>\n

Later on Friday night, Greene \u2014 who suffered a broken leg while trying to make a getaway after allegedly shooting the innocent little girl \u2014 was arraigned remotely in Brooklyn Criminal Court from his hospital bed.<\/p>\n

Confirming what the NYPD had said was a possibility, the prosecutor said Kaori\u2019s dad was \u201cthe target\u201d of the shooting.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe missed his target,\u201d said Assistant District Attorney Jordan Rossman, \u201cbut shot two of the target\u2019s children, fatally shooting a 7-month-old baby in the head and wounding the baby\u2019s 2-year-old brother.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kaori was sitting in a stroller when she was fatally shot near Humboldt and Moore Sts. in East Williamsburg. Police are investigating whether Kaori\u2019s father, who has links to members of the Money Over Everything gang in the Bushwick Houses, was the suspects\u2019 intended target, NYPD officials said.<\/p>\n

The gang, known as MOE, is in the middle of an ongoing dispute with a crew Greene is associated with from the Marcy Houses, NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re still looking into that. We know that he (Kaori\u2019s dad) does have an association with some other (Money Over Everything) gang members,\u201d Kenny said. \u201cHe is not in our criminal group database as an MOE member but based on the geography and where he was at the time, we are looking into that.\u201d<\/p>\n

When reached Wednesday, Kaori\u2019s mother, Lianna Moore, quickly dismissed the idea that gang members had been out to kill her fianc\u00e9.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s not right,\u201d Moore, 20, told the Daily News when reached at her home Thursday. \u201cWe haven\u2019t been outside. We haven\u2019t been anywhere. We\u2019ve been inside the house. We haven\u2019t been doing anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kaori\u2019s father declined to speak Thursday.<\/p>\n

Greene was charged with murder, attempted murder and assault. He pleaded not guilty.<\/p>\n

At Greene\u2019s arraignment, the judge ordered him held without bail, and separately also issued an order of protection barring Greene from going near his girlfriend, who he\u2019s accused of robbing a few days earlier.<\/p>\n

During the arraignment, Greene addressed the judge as \u201cBoss.\u201d<\/p>\n

Charges against Rodriguez remained pending on Friday.<\/p>\n

After the reckless shooting, the scooter driver and his accomplice made a clumsy getaway that resulted in their crashing about three blocks from the scene, cops said. The pair were hurled from the scooter and Greene, who was injured in the crash, was taken into custody after medics brought him to Brooklyn Hospital Center, where he remained Friday.<\/p>\n

The scooter\u2019s driver, who managed to evade police after the crash, was identified as Rodriguez by detectives on Thursday, according to Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch.<\/p>\n

Moore and her fianc\u00e9 were taking their two young children, who were in a double stroller, to grab baby supplies when the gunfire erupted around 1:20 p.m.<\/p>\n

Mistaking the gunfire for fireworks, Moore rushed her frightened children into a nearby shop, where she noticed something was wrong<\/a> with her little girl.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy daughter was just there, laying there,\u201d Moore said. \u201cShe was shot in the head. She was just bleeding. It was just too much.\u201d<\/p>\n

The baby\u2019s father grabbed his little girl and raced her to Woodhull Hospital about seven blocks away, where she died.<\/p>\n

The bullet that killed Kaori also wounded her older brother, grazing his back after it passed through his sister\u2019s head.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey could have killed my son and my daughter,\u201d said Moore.<\/p>\n

Greene was riding behind his accomplice when he drew his gun, startling surveillance footage released by the NYPD shows.<\/p>\n

After firing off a few rounds, the pair fled north on Humboldt St., took a left on Siegel St. and then crashed at Manhattan Ave. three blocks from the scene, according to Chief Kenny.<\/p>\n

Both men were thrown from the scooter, with Greene hitting the pavement so hard that he lost both shoes, Tisch said.<\/p>\n

Video posted online shows the suspects\u2019 scooter slamming into the front end of a car as they travel against traffic. The impact sends both men hurling to the pavement, and the shoeless rear passenger can be seen hobbling on one foot afterward.<\/p>\n

The video ends as the scooter\u2019s operator retrieves what appears to be a firearm from the street before both men climb back onto the scooter and ride off screen.<\/p>\n
