A Long Island bride said yes to a nearly $18,000 wedding dress \u2014 only to have it allegedly ruined by a luxury Midtown cleaner.<\/p>\n

Danielle Sacco was over the moon when her six-month search ended at Kleinfeld Bridal of \u201cSay Yes to the Dress\u201d fame<\/a>, when she found her luxurious Pnina Tornai gown.<\/p>\n

She \u201cknew immediately it was her dream dress,\u201d the bride told The Post in a statement.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old physician\u2019s assistant \u201cfelt like a princess\u201d in the gown during her October 2024 Long Island wedding to Nassau County Police Officer Matthew Sacco.<\/p>\n

When it came time to care for the sparkling, haute couture dress, Sacco chose Madame Paulette ByNext, a high-profile West 39th Street cleaner \u201chighly recommended\u201d by friends. <\/p>\n

She shelled out $1,800 for their preservation service, she said.<\/p>\n

The store boasts on its website that it offers \u201cmeticulous cleaning to restore your gown\u2019s original beauty.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur preservation services guarantee their lasting integrity for generations.\u201d<\/p>\n

But her dream dress had a nightmarish ending, Sacco claimed in a Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit.<\/p>\n

\u201cInstead of working on [the] wedding gown, they destroyed it,\u201d she claimed in court papers.<\/p>\n

Photos show damaged fabric near the hem of the skirt. The bride contends the dress was placed in a box which was too small \u2014 causing the gown\u2019s course horsehair underlay to destroy the fabric.<\/p>\n

Sacco \u201cspent thousands of dollars just to clean the wedding gown, she goes to make sure it\u2019s preserved and they ruined it,\u201d said her attorney, Zachary Zain. \u201cIt\u2019s all torn up, and torn up everywhere.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s devastated.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not the first time the cleaner has faced complaints.<\/p>\n

In September, influencer Claudia Li Johnson caused a stir when she griped in a TikTok post that Madame Paulette lost her custom Vera Wang gown.<\/p>\n

The dress was found in September after The Post exposed numerous complaints about the cleaner losing high-end items, including a $110,000 Fendi coat. <\/a><\/p>\n

Online reviews revealed others who didn\u2019t like the service.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cIf you are a BRIDE, AVOID. RUN,\u201d wrote one man, who claimed he spent a year trying to retrieve his wife\u2019s wedding gown from the company.<\/p>\n

Another claimed they\u2019d sent a \u201chand-hemmed, hand-monogrammed damask tablecloth and napkins\u201d to the company to be cleaned \u201cand they were returned in SHREDS. strips of fabric hanging from hangers\u2013looking like a stage version of beggar\u2019s rags.\u201d<\/p>\n

The cleaner apologized to both customers in responses to the negative online reviews, and claimed it had no record of the issue with the tablecloth.<\/p>\n
