WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn (PIX11) \u2014 A community is planning to gather in mourning on Saturday, after a 7-month-old baby was shot and killed<\/a> in her stroller in Brooklyn.<\/p>\n

New York City clergy members, the Brooklyn Collective Clergy Council and the United Clergy Council will host the community vigil at 12 p.m. at the corner of 110 Moore St. Organizers say it will be a time to \u201cpray, reflect, and support one another as we mourn this devastating loss.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis should never be happening, and it is incredibly sad. Now more than ever, we must come together as a community united in prayer, worship, and compassion,\u201d wrote organizers.<\/p>\n

Police took into custody Matthew Rodriguez<\/a>, 18, in connection with the deadly shooting of baby girl Kaori Patterson-Moore<\/a> on Friday. U.S. Marshals tracked him down in Pennsylvania days after the NYPD arrested and charged 21-year-old Amuri Greene with murder.<\/p>\n

Greene was allegedly firing shots<\/a> while riding on a moped driven by Rodriguez when a stray bullet hit and killed the 7-month-old in a stroller at the corner of Humboldt and Moore streets in Williamsburg at around 1:20 p.m. on Wednesday, police said.<\/p>\n

Another bullet grazed Patterson-Moore\u2019s brother, who was also in the stroller at the time, the family has said.<\/p>\n

Greene has since been charged with attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon and assault, according to the NYPD. Meanwhile, Rodriguez is set to be extradited to New York.<\/p>\n

According to authorities, Greene is associated with a gang from the Marcy Houses, and the shooting may be linked to a possible beef between the Marcy Houses gang and its rival MOE (Money Over Everything) from the Bushwick Houses.<\/p>\n

The mother of the 7-month-old had been pushing the baby in a stroller and ran to a nearby bodega to escape the gunfire, police said. Once inside, she saw the girl was bleeding, sources said.<\/p>\n

Kaori\u2019s grandfather, Godsking Oyinkoinyan, wants the community to \u201cgive Kaori a voice.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s do something about gun violence,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
