New play structures are coming to all three<\/p>\n

\u201cGoing back from when I was council president, when I visited neighborhoods, it’s these types of requests that were asked for. So to be able to stand here and, truly rebuild it for the neighborhood that’s been asking for it for so long, it’s just a nice thing to do,” Galime said.<\/p>\n
He said there was infrastructure at Addison Miller, Hirt and Lincoln laygrounds that had been there since the 1980s.<\/p>\n
New play structures are coming to all three.<\/p>\n
Hirt and Lincoln playgrounds will have rubberized material; Poured-in-Place, safety surfacing instead of woodchips.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are implementing shading infrastructure as part of the playground equipment in the different parks as well. So we’ve taken all that into account. ADA compliance, making sure everyone can play in this playground equipment,” said Galime.<\/p>\n
The price tag of $585,000 is funded through Community Development Block Grant-Coronavirus funds, he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo be able to assemble the funds to truly rebuild and freshen Hirt, Addison, Miller and Lincoln all in one summer, before school is out, it’s a phenomenal thing to do,” said Galime.<\/p>\n
