Mark J. Adams MD<\/p>\n
Mark J. Adams, MD, was recently elected president of the Medical Society of the State of New York. \u00a0<\/p>\n
A fellowship-trained, board-certified radiologist, he is professor of Clinical Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester<\/a> Medical Center.\u00a0<\/p>\n Adams received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. <\/p>\n He completed an internship in surgery at Barnes Hospital at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri;\u00a0a radiology residency at Rochester General Hospital, and a fellowship at the University of Rochester. He is certified by both the American Board of Radiology and the National Board of Medical Examiners.\u00a0<\/p>\n Additionally,\u00a0Adams received an MBA from the Simon\u00a0Business School\u00a0at the University of Rochester.\u00a0<\/p>\n An active member of MSSNY since 2000, Adams\u00a0has served in many roles, including\u00a0president\u00a0elect,\u00a0vice-president,\u00a0treasurer\u00a0and\u00a0the 7th District\u00a0councilor. He\u00a0also chairs\u00a0the Legislative and Physician Advocacy Committee and\u00a0the Budget and Finance Committee\u00a0and serves on the Investment Committee of\u00a0MSSNY Board of Trustees.\u00a0<\/p>\n Adams is also\u00a0New York\u00a0delegate to the American Medical Association and an active member of the Monroe County<\/a> Medical Society, which he served as\u00a0president in 2010.\u00a0<\/p>\n
