New York City FC today announced that it has signed Forward Arnau\u00a0Farnos\u00a0to a Short-Term Agreement from MLS NEXT Pro affiliate New York City FC II.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Forward joined New York City FC II ahead of the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro season after spending the 2026 Preseason with New York City FC\u2019s First Team.\u00a0Farnos\u00a0was selected\u00a085th overall\u00a0by New York City\u00a0in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
The\u00a0Riudoms, Spain native developed through the Academies of Barcelona, Celta Vigo, and Girona before continuing a career at Oregon State University.\u00a0Farnos\u00a0made 60 appearances for the Beavers, recording 28 goals and 18 assists across\u00a04,767 minutes.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Per MLS rules, a\u00a0club may sign a player, age 25 or younger during the league season, from its\u00a0MLS NEXT Pro\u00a0affiliate to a maximum of four Short-Term Agreements each season.\u00a0An individual player may be included on up to four MLS league season match rosters each\u00a0season,\u00a0however, that player may appear in no more than two MLS league season matches.\u00a0An individual player may appear in any number of non-league games during the terms of his four Short-Term Agreements.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Farnos\u00a0will be available for\u00a0selection\u00a0ahead of today’s home match against St. Louis CITY SC at Citi Field.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
