No school? No problem. There are plenty of free events in Brooklyn this week. It is Kids Week with Urban Park Rangers<\/a>, and they are hosting daily events in Brooklyn and across the city. Families can also enjoy roller skating in Brooklyn Bridge Park, Bubbles the Silly Entertainer in Gerritsen Beach, youth birding in Prospect Heights, fishing in Prospect Park, a garden storytime in Carroll Gardens, Bad Bunny karaoke in Brooklyn Heights, the home opener of the Red Hook Football Club, and much more!<\/p>\n

Kids Week: Fire Making | Fort Greene<\/a><\/p>\n

Bring your kids to parks throughout the city for Kids Week during Spring Break. With programs led by Urban Park Rangers, kids will get to experience nature in a hands-on and fun way. Join the Urban Park Rangers to learn the basics of fire safety and fire making at the Fort Greene Park Visitor Center.<\/p>\n

Kids Create: Newspaper Snails | Kensington<\/a><\/p>\n

Monday, April 6th | 2:00pm-3:00pm | Ages 6-12 with a caregiver<\/p>\n

Join the Kensington Library team in crafting a snail out of recycled materials in honor of Earth Day.<\/p>\n

Join the Central Library\u2019s Librarians and Park Rangers for Youth Birding in Prospect Park. Learn more about native birds and their habitat. Some binoculars will be available to use in children and adult sizes while supplies last. Meet at the north entrance of the park off of Flatbush Avenue near the marble gazebo.<\/p>\n

At 10:30 AM, participants will walk one block to the Adams Street Library, where Chong will lead a hands-on workshop. All materials will be provided. Cecile is fluent in English, Spanish, and Cantonese, and welcomes participants to write and share words in any language spoken in their families or communities.<\/p>\n
