The expansion is part of a broader effort to modernize operations, reduce emissions and improve efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>The city also announced plans to fully electrify law enforcement vehicles in several agencies by 2030, ahead of previously established targets under local law.<\/p>\n<p>Law enforcement represents the largest segment of the city\u2019s fleet, with thousands of vehicles used across agencies including the New York Police Department, Department of Correction and others.
