HELL’S KITCHEN, Manhattan (WABC) — Police are on the hunt for some would-be auto thieves in Manhattan with a taste for luxury cars – foiled in their attempt to steal them from a garage.<\/p>\n

One thief did not get far on Sunday morning after crashing a McLaren sport car into a pole.<\/p>\n

A number of other cars were damaged in the attempted heist on West 43rd Street.<\/p>\n

The McLaren’s owner, who does not wan to be identified said he was shocked to find his car smashed.<\/p>\n

Police say the would-be thieves got away in a luxury car of their own and they are still on the loose.<\/p>\n
