A Brooklyn woman was charged with grand larceny after she allegedly store more than $50,000 from at least 27 retail stores in an eight-month period, Nassau police said.<\/p>\n
Detectives said that since August,\u00a0Magdalena Samsin, 41, entered stores, selected items, passed the points of purchase and left\u00a0without paying.<\/p>\n
The value of the items she took from more than 27 retail stores totaled more than $50,000, police said. The owners of the stores allegedly targeted were not immediately available for comment.<\/p>\n
Detectives arrested Samsin on Friday without incident after an investigation.<\/p>\n
She was charged with second-degree larceny and arraigned on Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.<\/p>\n
Samsin was held\u00a0without bail, according to online court documents.<\/p>\n
