The New York State Police are investigating the death of a Brasher Falls man following the discovery of an unresponsive individual in a wooded area earlier this morning.<\/p>\n
On April 5, 2026, at approximately 7:21 a.m., State Police responded to a wooded area near 34 Church Street in the village of Brasher Falls for a report of a possible deceased individual. The report was made after a pedestrian walking in the area located an unresponsive male.<\/p>\n
The deceased has been identified as Nicolas A. Lecuyer, age 36, of Brasher Falls, who had previously been reported missing.<\/p>\n
At this time, the investigation remains ongoing. Preliminary findings indicate there are no signs of foul play, and there is no threat to the public.<\/p>\n
The St. Lawrence County Coroner responded to the scene and authorized the removal of the body. An autopsy will be conducted at a later date to determine the official cause of death.<\/p>\n
